Our Services

Software & Automation

Our Philosophy is "Let humans do what they are best at, then automate the rest". The possibilities are endless, but we have listed a few of the projects we have worked on as examples:

◤ Enterprise Resource Management (ERP)

◢ Data analysis solutions & Dashboards

◤ Email processing and data-extraction using OCR

◢ Direct links to equipment e.g. testing machines

◤ Quality assurance software

◢ Technical calculators for procedures & specs

◤ Customer relationship management (CRM)

◢ Integration with 3rd party software (e.g. Microsoft Teams)

◤ Automated document generation & management

◢ HTML branded Emails

◤ Shop floor terminals

◢ Paperless systems

Training

In addition to comprehensive training for any software or solutions we develop, we can also help you to make the most of the software you already have. This includes training on Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Power Automate & Microsoft Power BI. As experienced Materials Engineers we also offer 'Metallurgy for Non-Metallurgists' sessions.

Consultancy

In addition to being software developers, we are experienced engineers with understanding of the industry and knowledge of lean working practices. Implementing new software requires changes in working practices, and we believe that this makes it the perfect time to improve them too. We offer assistance with re-designing processes to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.

What is lean?

Waste can be found in a surprising number of forms, from excess processing to non-utilised talent. The end result is increased expenses for the supplier and a knock-on negative impact on the customer. Lean is about identifying and eliminating waste from your processes so that both you and your customers can enjoy the rewards. Why choose bespoke?

Built for the exact needs of your business

Unlike off the shelf or semi-bespoke products, you won't have to force your working practices into a system that isn't suited to them.

Work smarter, not harder

From automation, to preventative actions, we can assist with improving your efficiency and preventing problems before they have a chance to occur

Value for money

The 80:20 rule is often true when it comes to software; 80% of the users only use 20% of the features. With bespoke software you are paying for what you need, using 100% of the features, rather than a system packed of features that will be never or rarely be used.

How we work

Planning

Planning the is most important part of any software project so we start by getting to know your business, people and processes. We'll also assess your current hardware and let you know in advance if any new equipment will be needed so there won't be any nasty surprises down the line. Once we understand your aims for the software, we put together a project plan detailing the required features and a development timeline.

Development

During the development stage we offer regular progress update meetings so you can see how the software is shaping up and give feedback or adjust the plan if necessary.

When it comes to medium or large projects, we suggest a modular system as this make the implementation more manageable. For rapid development, you may like to operate two versions of the software alongside each other. We can release new features to a Beta version of the software for testing, whilst maintaining a stable version to fall back on should any issue occur.

Implementation

Implementing new software is hard and it takes time for users to get comfortable with new ways of working. This is why we like to involve the end users from the outset, giving them a sense of ownership of the software. We can provide as much training as required to ensure all users are confident in working with the software

Continuous Improvement

It's typical for a new software system, and all the changes that come with it, to inspire further improvements. Many of the most useful and time-saving features aren't thought of until the software is in use. This is why we offer ontinuous improvement packages that allow your employees to suggest features that will create a leaner workflow and see them become a reality.

About Us

We started Ineffable Solutions in 2019 after being on the receiving end of several poorly implemented software projects. On reflection we realised that many of the issues stemmed from the software developer having little experience or understanding of the manufacturing environment and the roles of the end users. We therefore decided to combine our interest in coding with our engineering experience, to create solutions that truly fit the needs of the industry. We believe that software shouldn’t just be for day-to-day operations; it should enable you to improve how you work, saving time and money.

We both have degrees in Materials Engineering and following university and started our careers as metallurgists working in production environments. We are passionate about our jobs, especially driving continuous improvements and lean working practices.
